Let’s get into the review now!
Instantly refreshing Dot & Key’s AHA Liquid Exfoliant is a highly concentrated, invigorating facial toner that deep cleans and conditions the skin by sweeping away excess oil and impurities. It features 5% glycolic and lactic acids – members of the alpha-hydroxy acid family. This gentle, exfoliating formula reveals fresh new skin cells. It unclogs pores, while reducing blemishes, wrinkles and fine lines – leaving a more clarified, brighter even toned complexion.
Formulated with Borage Flower and Calendula oils, this alcohol free toner maintains skin’s moisture levels ensuring that it doesn’t feel stripped or dry. Grapeseed extracts soothe skin and promote cell health while white willow bark firms and tones the complexion, to grant your skin a fresh and dewy radiance. Cruelty free and completely safe to skin, this mild yet effective toner mist is suitable for all skin types. Simply spray evenly all over skin after cleansing (AM & PM) for a healthier, balanced complexion that’s ready to glow.

How to Use?
- Begin with a clean face.
- Spray evenly all over the face and neck.
- Follow with a serum or daily moisturizer.
- Use a sunscreen to protect from UV rays, if using in the day time, and also limit sun exposure.
Dot & Key 5% AHA Exfoliating Toner comes in a beautiful lilac colour spray bottle with white cap on it. The packaging is very cute. There is a cute outer box too with all details. If you are not aware, jar packaging of Dot & Key is very much inspired from the international brand Frudia.
Consistency & Smell
Dot & Key 5% AHA Exfoliating Toner has watery thin consistency and has strong added fragrance which is too much for me. All Dot & Key products have added fragrance and I do not mind if the fragrance is in lower concentration and if that’s not irritating me but fragrance in this particular product is more than my liking.
All ingredients are mentioned on the box.
My experience with Dot & Key 5% AHA Exfoliating Toner
Since I have left behind chickenpox marks on body, I have been regularly using mild chemical exfoliants on body. I have used Dot & Key 5% AHA Exfoliating Toner on face as well as on body. I use it in PM routine only. Firstly, I do not like spray packaging of AHA toner. You don’t want to exfoliate your lips and eyes. I take the toner in palm and then apply. Secondly, as I said the fragrance is a little strong.
I have seen significant difference on dark spots though. My facial skin stings a bit but body skin does not sting at all. My skin does not feel dry which happens with majority of AHA but never happened with this one. Overall, this is a good AHA toner for beginners. It does work but I wish this had minimal fragrance.
- Wear sunscreen daily, chemical exfoliant can cause sun damage
- Don’t mix other actives like BHA, vitamin c, retinol etc in same routine
- Use only twice or thrice a week
My Take on Dot & Key 5% AHA Exfoliating Toner
I feel there is more fragrance in it. Dot & Key 5% AHA Exfoliating Toner is very gentle for beginners though but do patch test it first and see if it suits you. Don’t forget using my code PEPILIO on Vanity Wagon. Dot & Key is a cruelty free brand of India and I love majority of thier products.
