Hey folks, I am reviewing Dot and Key Water Drenching Hyaluronic Serum Concentrate that I grabbed during diwali sale. I absolutely love hyaluronic acid serums in my skincare routine especially in my PM skincare routine. Posting my review after using this HA serum on and off for really long time. I am on the verge of finishing this off. Before starting, let me talk something about the beautiful ingredient Hyaluronic Acid.
What is Hyaluronic Acid and Why Do You Need?
Hyaluronic Acid is a component of skin tissue and it functions as a replenishing of skin. HA boosts skin’s moisture level since it has restorative property. It can hold upto 1000 times its weight in water. Skin types are divided majorly like oily, combination and dry. But any skin type could be dehydrated, sensitive and acne prone. Have you ever noticed your t-zone becoming oil factory yet it feels dry or stretchy? It is all because of dehydration. One needs to balance water and oil proportion to keep the skin hydrated and nourished. Now, let’s get into the review!
Featuring hyaluronic acid, this hydrating face serum replenishes skin’s moisture reservoirs.
Contains Vitamin C and antioxidants from acai berries
Formulated with ceramides and botanicals elements like soothing bulgarian rose
Improves skin’s barrier function and restores plump, dewy complexion
Can be used alone or along with your favourite moisturising cream
All Dot n Key serums have beautiful dropper bottle packaging with cute box. The bottle is made of plastic with silver, black and blue design. I love the most about these bottles is the inner protection (I don’t know what it is called). When you take the dropper out, all the excess serum residing outside the dropper comes wiped off through this.
Floral prints on the box are matching so perfectly with the ingredients. I love the colour coded packaging by brand. Entire water drenching line has blue colour for the packaging. Full ingredients and usage instructions are provided on back of the box.
Dot and Key Water Drenching Hyaluronic Serum Concentrate has the goodness of the star ingredient Hyaluronic Acid, ceramides, Bulgarian rose extract, vitamin e, acai berries, vitamin c and more. It is a beautiful water based serum.
Texture & Fragrance
Dot and Key Water Hyaluronic Serum has watery slightly gel kind of consistency that spreads and absorbs easily on skin. This serum feels very light on skin, you won’t even feel that you have applied something on skin. This serum contains added fragrance which is mild and fades away quickly.
How to Use?
This is a water based serum, it is supposed to use after cleansing and toning. Take 3-4 drops and gently press and tap on skin. Proceed with moisturizer on damp skin for better results.
My Experience with Dot and Key Water Drenching Hyaluronic Serum Concentrate
I use this serum in AM or PM depending on the requirement of skin. I take a few drops of Dot and Key Water Drenching Hyaluronic Serum on damp skin post cleansing and toning and gently press-tap on skin. I use gel/water based moisturizer after this serum. I use it more often in PM routine since I generally use a vitamin c serum in AM.
I have tested this serum in all weathers, all conditions. It makes the skin plump, soft and hydrated. It is not very strong or very effective if I compare it with The Ordinary HA serum but it works. The brand says that it is suitable for all skin types but in my opinion, it is good for normal to combination or oily skin types that need hydration. It won’t contribute in plumping up dry or very dry skin. I have posted a detailed post related to dry skin, do check it out!
Full ingredient list is mentioned on backside of the box.
Price, Shelf Life & Availability
Dot and Key Water Hyaluronic Serum is prices at 895 for 30ml plastic bottle with shelf life of 36 months. It can be purchased from amazon or from brand’s official website or from Nykaa. They keep on running offers, purchase during offers.
Dot and Key Water Drenching Hyaluronic Serum Concentrate is a really good hydrating serum available in India. It plumps up the skin and keeps it soft, hydrated and supple. The texture is not sticky or tacky at all. Not strong hyluronic acid serum compared to The Ordinary but definitely a good one. I would recommend buying it during offers. It is a really good cruelty free serums out there.
