Double Cleansing

Before starting the review, I would like to talk about this method. Basically, there are different ways of double cleansing. Some people use oil based or micellar water or water based cleanser as first cleansing. I have been doing Oil based + Water based cleansing from past few years now and trust me it has changed my skin over period of time. I choose only and only emulsifying cleansing balms/oils as first cleansers. Neat oils clog my pores badly – I would highly suggest you to get a formulated emulsifying cleansing oil or cleansing balm over using coconut oil or any other DIY. When you cleanse firstly with oil based cleanser, your all oil based impurities get pulled out. Following up with water based cleanser will ensure any residue left over plus water based impurities will be cleared. Many people do not use water based cleansers after using emulsifying first cleanse, it is totally a personal choice but I follow it to ensure my skin is left as a clean canvas. After following this method over months, my skin became clearer and pores clog less.

How to Use?

  1. Use 2 pumps on a dry face and massage into the skin. Leave for a few minutes and then wash off with water
  2. For oily and combination skin, use as part of a double cleanse with Dr. Sheth’s Basic Brightening Daily Cleanser

Packaging

This oil comes in plastic bottle with pump dispenser – the signature packaging by Dr. Sheth’s. The There is a beautiful outer box too. I love the visuals on this outer box a lot! The pump dispenser spits the oil and it stopped working after a few usages. The oil stuck in pump leaks and ruins the label. Neem BHA has far better packaging over this.

Texture & Smell

My Experience with Dr. Sheth’s Moringa & Vitamin C Cleansing Oil

This is indeed one of the best cleansing oils in India, by Indian brand. The oil takes off legit everything from the skin. It emulsifies nicely and cleanses the skin well. I feel very slight oily residue is left and I always always always follow up with foaming cleanser post any first cleanser. The oil is very light, easy to spread and work around. One reason why I love cleansing oils more over cleansing balms is that, t is already in oil form so there are no extra efforts to melt and work. Dr. Sheth’s Moringa & Vitamin C Cleansing Oil is capable of melting heavy makeup, dirt, grime – almost everything. It’s totally worth and affordable too. This oil doesn’t irritate my eye area – excellent for all skin types including sensitive. Post washing off, my skin feels pretty normal and soft – neither oily nor stretchy. Just one suggestion to Dr. Sheth’s, this there should be size options for this oil – 50ml is less.

Packaging is similar to cleansing oil – the signature plastic bottle with pump dispenser. This pump doesn’t work of my bottle. I love outer packaging a lot. I actually received this as an apology gift – this was sent mistakenly with my order.

This gel based cleanser is a really good option to use as morning cleanser or as second cleanser in evening routine. This one has gel texture with pretty pink beads that burst upon massaging. Dr. Sheth’s Basic Brightening Daily Cleanser lathers well and cleanses skin nicely without stripping off the moisture. It is not irritating at all and suitable for all skin types, even sensitive. As far as the claim of brightening effect comes, I have not noticed any and I don’t expect either from a cleanser. I really enjoy this cleanser and will highly recommend to everyone.
