Hey guys! I am up with reviews of two cleansers from greenie mill – Hemp & Tamanu Gel to Milk Cleanser (which is renamed to Hemp & Tamanu Cleansing Oil) and Green Tea & Tulsi Face Wash. Both of these are non foaming cleansers and have really impressive ingredients but my experience is a bit different – read till end to know! Sonali from skincarevilla gifted me these some time back. Thank you Sonali for letting me try out these cleansers.
Since packaging and formulation are changed, I would not like to mention such details here. Let’s jump directly into my experience.
My Experience with Hemp & Tamanu Gel to Milk Cleanser (which is renamed to Hemp & Tamanu Cleansing Oil)
It is beautiful cleansing oil with so good ingredients like hemp seed oil, tamanu oil, neem oil and much more. This oil has thick consistency like neem oil and it smells too like neem and castor. I take 1 or 2 pumps and apply it on dry face. I massage for about 2-3 minutes and splash some water to emulsify. The cleanser emulsifies so nicely with touch of water and takes off everything. It is really important to double cleanse the face – once with cleansing oil or cleansing balm and secondly with water based cleanser. There is slight residue left. My skin feels soft and nourished but there is need of using second cleanser – which I always use post cleansing oil/balm. This is their fastest selling product because of the ingredients and price point.
My Experience with Green Tea & Tulsi Face Wash (reformulated now to Lemon balm Tulsi & Bergamot face wash)
This is a totally non foaming cleanser. It has so many amazing goodies like neem, tea tree, green tea, aloe juice and much more. It smells somewhat like neem oil. I could see oil and water portions separated so I always shake the bottle well before using. This cleanser doesn’t lather but still cleanses the skin nicely. My skin doesn’t feel dry or stretchy at all.
In crux, both of these cleansers sensitise my skin a bit which I do not enjoy since my skin is already sensitive. I am not against essential oils but they are bit more than my tolerance level. I feel more tingling sensation if I use any chemical exfoliant post any of these cleansers which clearly means my skin is sanitised due to these. I have tried Hemp & Tamanu Gel to Milk Cleanser and Green Tea & Tulsi Face Wash in all ways and I have always found them sensitising my skin and under eye area.
Both cleansers are not suitable to very sensitive skin types. They dint suit me but it doesn’t mean that you will have the same experience. Also, the brand has launched new cleansers that are free from essential oils. You can definitely check them out. I love their Calendula cleansing oil which is suited me so perfectly.
