This is a lightweight 10% vitamin C serum with a boost of antioxidants like turmeric and gotu kola as known as centella asiatica which has amino acids, fatty acids and it is really great to calm down the skin. These ingredients have powerful anti aging properties and help maintain youthful skin. I have been using this serum from past one month and here is my review.
Advanced and Stable Vitamin C Serum for Pigmentation, Sun Damage, Wrinkles, Acne
- Using it in the mornings ensure maximum efficiency as it reduces and reverses sun damage.
- Advanced and Stable Vitamin C Serum for Pigmentation, Sun Damage, Wrinkles, Acne
- Doesn’t cause any sensitivity so can be used in the morning. Can be used by all skin types.
Aqua, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate( stable vitamin C), Propanediol, Glycerin, Gotu Kola Extracts, Curcumin Extracts, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Caprlyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Hyaluronic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance ( Kashmiri Lavender essential Oil)
As per Suganda, they not only use Vitamin C as anti oxidant, but also used other powerful natural anti oxidants like Curcumin – turmeric and Gotu Kola for radiant complexion.
Curcumin – Turmeric is a strong antioxidant and has shown UV-B protective properties. It helps with tanning due to sun exposure.
Gotu Kola – Centella Asiatica is skin rejuvenator. It helps with refining skin texture. It also helps with sun damage.
Kashmiri Lavender – It tones and revitalises the skin and helps to remove light scarring. It brings about a sense of well being.
How to Use
Mix 2-3 drops of Suganda Antioxidant Serum with moisturizer initially and slowly use the serum alone and then follow up with moisturizer and sunscreen.
Texture and Colour
Suganda Antioxidant Serum has light watery texture. The colour of this serum varies from clear to brown which is due to the presence of natural extracts of Gotu Kola – dark colour does not mean that this particular serum is oxidized; you can contact the brand in case of doubts. I have two bottles of this serum out of which one has clear colour and the other has orangish brown. It is a water based serum, sinks into skin beautifully without leaving any sticky or tacky residue. The brand uses Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate pH 6, which is less irritating and more stable.
It has sweet aroma of lavender which is very faint and not bothersome. Aroma fades away in few minutes.
My Skin Condition
Let me talk about background of my skin before jumping into the experience. I have sensitive combination acne prone skin which catches redness and bumps very easily with sun exposure, climate changes and spicy food. I am used to 12% dosage vitamin C (Neemli, Dot and Key, Klairs) in AM and 21% (wishtrend) in PM. Famous vitamin C products like Jumiso 10% vitamin serum and The Ordinary pure L-ascorbic powder dint suit my skin. I have been searching for a good vitamin C serum from a while now. It is mandatory for me to use a good vit C serum daily because 1) I get redness and bumps that leave marks behind 2) I want to age gracefully. Let’s go through the experience now.
My Experience with Suganda Antioxidant Serum
I started with mixing just 2 drops of this serum with moisturizer in AM routine and then gradually started using the serum alone as I dint notice any kind of purging or irritation topping with moisturizer and then with sunscreen. As soon as I started using this serum, I dint notice any difference in skin. I started noticing my pigmentation getting lighter and skin getting brighter after almost 3 weeks. Vitamin C serums take time to show results and the same in this case. My skin looks healthy, brightened and pigmentation fading away slowly. Suganda Antioxidant Serum is very light weight and feels just like water on skin without making it sticky or oily. I find this a mild yet effective serum that delivers all the goodness if used consistently.
Please note that wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen is a MUST when you are using any kind of active.
Vitamin C in an active, if you are going to include any other active in the same routine like niacinamide, AHA, BHA, please make sure to see instructions regarding product on the website or contact the brand. Not to forget, the wrong concoction of actives will harm and ruin your skin. Be sure to check this point.
Suganda Antioxidant Serum is housed in amber glass dropper bottle. Suganda packs this in a cardboard box without using any kind of plastic wrapping. Love simple minimalist packaging. Usage instructions and ingredient list are printed on label.
1000 INR for 20ml serum with shelf life of 1 year, many bloggers have discount code.
Available on brand’s website suganda.co.
Does it Work?
Yes it does work amazingly on my skin with consistent prolonged usage.
Will I Repurchase?

- Cruelty free and vegan
- Jam packed with anti oxidants
- Mild serum with super light feel on skin

I would highly recommend Suganda Antioxidant Serum to those who need a boost of antioxidants in skincare routine and add the dosage of vitamin C. It works nicely to fade pigmentation and to brighten skin in long run. Vitamin C serums take time to show results, be patient and consistent and one should not expect overnight results. Also, do not forget layering a broad spectrum sunscreen. Do not use on very very sensitive, broken or compromised skin. It works really well on my sensitive skin – one should always check ingredients and then decide.
