Body butters from The Body Shop are most raved. I wanted to try out their body butters but the high price tag was always stopping me. I saw a few items on flat 50% discount this January and so I grabbed this one. I guess all other variants were already sold out.
In case you don’t know, TBS is a peta certified cruelty free brand. TBS offers the skincare, best body care products including scents. Fuji green tea body butter has some great ingredients like glycerine, soybean oil, shea butter, camellia leaf extract, brazil nut. Also, it is vegan.

The body shop fuji green tea body butter has a nice light fluffy cream type consistency. It is not thick or very creamy at all. It sinks into the skin in no time.
It has really nice cooling, refreshing, summery scent which does not linger for more time. The scent is not strong it is very faint which is why I love it a lot.
It comes in a nice sturdy 200ml tub with screw cap, very easy to use.
1045 INR for 200ml tub – best to grab during seasonal sales
About 2.5 years from manufacturing, 12 months after opening.
This is perfect lightweight body butter for summers. It moisturises the skin without leaving any sticky or heavy residue. It is ideal for normal to slightly dry skin types but not for dry skin or colder months. It absorbs into the skin very fast – ideal for people who cannot wait like me.
Please buy this if you want a nice lightweight body butter.
It is easily available on online and offline stores and on online portals. However, I would suggest you to get it from The Body Shop. You get freshest piece and some free samples from them.
TBS body butters are undoubtedly the best, but I also want to try out something from the indie brands. I am not sure if I will repurchase body butter by TBS or from another brand. If I purchase body butter by TBS, I will go with some other variant.
I must say, TBS has the best body butters to offer. However, not all butters are same in nature. I have patch tested some of the body butters from their offline store. I liked shea a lot. it is very nourishing and much needed in colder months. There are some with lightweight texture like fuji green tea. If you are looking for a body butter from TBS, I suggest you to visit the offline store. You can smell and patch test before investing. I am someone who would buy at least 1 thing from store, I feel I am insulting the staff and not valuing them, their time. I visit the store only if I have to buy something and when I visit, I smell and see all the things that attract me. I am so glad I did this, I wanted to buy British rose body butter but it smells very different (wax like) from than the entire British rose range and it leaves a shimmery pink hue on skin which I don’t like. I dint like smell of olive butter. After coming back, I note down which fragrances or products I love the most. Whenever there is a sale, I have my list ready :P.
